• If maintain properly, this grass can provide a very uniform, and beautiful turf.

• This grass should not be used on a home lawn, unless prepared to maintain everyday.

Bluegrass (Poa)

• Excellant grass for lawns.
• Relatively easy to maintain.
• Cost of seed is much lower than that of bentgrass.
• Lawns: New: 1-3 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft.
  Recommended planting rate: 3 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft for new lawns.
  One acre requires 45-135 lbs. acre.

Ryegrass

• Very comparable to bluegrass.
• Excellant performance and wear quality.
• Used as a erosion control.
• Also used on golf courses

  -fairway mix, with bluegrass
• Very good grass for home lawns.
• Seeding Rate for Lawns: 5-10 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft.
  200 to 425 lbs Acre (500-1050 lbs. hectare).
  

Fescue

• Used in home lawns all over middle America.
• Easy and quick to establish
• excellent wear tolerance.
  
• Used in rough in many golf courses
• Very "Coarse" (thick) texture. which provides dense ground cover.
• Seeding rates for Lawns: New: 5-10 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft.
  Recommended planting rate: 10 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft.
  One acre requires 220-435 lbs. acre. (500-1050 lbs.@ Hectare)
